Okay, so maybe it won't be fun; however, it won't be as difficult as before.
  Groundwork Fruity is a PHP based web-frontend to your Nagios configuration. It support handling Nagios 2.x configurations and it can import your old Nagios 1.x configurations. It also supports Nagios templates and makes them even more powerful.
